From the San Francisco Chronicle:

Emile "Dutch" Martin passed away suddenly  at the age of 84 November 8, 2007 after having just celebrated 64 years of marriage with his wife, Barbara H. Martin.  Born in Thionville , France, Dutch attended high school in Santa Rosa, CA, where he and Barbara met.

Dutch was a pilot in an A-26 Squadron in WWII and retired Captain.  He attended all his yearly bomb squadron reunions and thoroughly enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie with all the "Old Gang."  He was West Coast Sales Manager for Bercut Vandervoort for over 20 years and acquired many lifelong friends over a glass of wine.

He was the proud parent of twin daughters, Jackie Martin-Reed (Jim), Cary Joynes (Bryan), daughter, Mikki Sumpter (Don), and son, Don Martin (Nancee) and was known and will always be remembered as "Papoo" by his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends but will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
