Of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday November 28, 2010 in Fairfax, VA.

He is survived by his son, Philip, and his sister Deloris, of New York. Also mourning his passing are Marty, and Candy Hohlweg of South Carolina.

During WWII he was in the Army air corps. He flew in more than 50 missions over Western Europe in 1944 and 45. He was very proud of his service in the 416th Bomb group, flying in A-20s and A-26s. During the late 1940s he was a member of the 11th Airborne Division, 511th regiment, serving in Japan.

From the early 1960s until his retirement, he worked for the Department of the Navy, both at the Philadelphia navy yard and here in the Washington, D.C. area. Services are private.
